oh I'd love to hear a true romance story, I mean I hope and dream and read about them in fictional books. But I believe in getting to know someone first. Course others would argue that you really don't know a person until you've lived with them first. What's your thoughts on this?

Some others would argue that you don't get to know a person until you eat a sack of salt together .I would say that at least as important as to get to know the other person is to learn to know yourself .Sometimes dissensions may come from not knowing who we really are and what we really want, therefore we send wrong signals to our partner .

And what will happen if you trust more than one girl, would you love all of them ?!

To be ontopic : I did fall in love at first sight once and that love lasted for about 10 years.

Lust at first site definately but love - no chance. You can't love someone you no nothing about. You have to know a person inside out and still be there fore them no matter what problems they may or may not have. Someone once said love is like being punched in the face by Mike Tyson for 12 rounds. If you are still there at the end then it is true love!

Who talked about lust at first sight ?
"Lust is any intense desire or craving for self gratification and excitement .Lust can mean strictly sexual lust" ,

this is the definition of lust in wikipedia and is certainly NOT what falling in love at first sight implies . If someone feels that intense sexual lust for a person when sees her/him first time it may be due to his/her own urge to have his/her sexual needs satisfied combined with excellent physical appearance of the other person. But that is not LOVE , is LUST at first sight .

Maybe you should read "Romeo and Juliet " first to understand what love of first sight is .

But this is called friendship rather than love . Although love may and should imply some degree of friendship, is definitely more than that .
Read these quotes about friendship , don't you think they say the same things you said love is ?

"A Friend is someone who knows all about you and loves you anyway!!!"
( Jerome Cummings)

"A true friend is someone who is there for you when they would rather be someplace else.
(Len Wein)

I'm sorry you clearly do not understand what I am saying. Fisrtly I did not say lust had anything to do with love. What I actually said was I did not believe in love at first site, people may believe they are in love but it is only lust. Secondly what is with all the quotes from wiki. Thirdly how many couples decribe their partner as "their best friend".

well, we just exchange opinions here ...it's ok to have different points of views, what the world will look like if all of us think the same way?

I did hear many of couples that said they were first best friends and that friendship turned into love afterwards .And although they married and had kids together , they still think of themselves as being the best friend of each other .
