Do you listen to metal opera ?

I haven't heard about this kind of rock until I first listened to Avantasia 's "Farewell " which appears on their album "Metal Opera" released on 2001 , when a friend of mine made me a musical dedication . I liked so much that song that since then I 've remained a fan of this kind of music .

I haven't delved too deep into heavy metal. The last Heavy Metal group that I really liked back in the 90's was Pantera.

Anyhow, I don't know a lot about Metal Opera music at all. Is this a genre or a band?

Metal opera is a genre of music that developed from rock opera and "The Metal Opera " is the title of an album of Avantasia, wich is a symphonic metal project created by Tobias Sammet.
