Electra met the artist known as Prince who persuaded her to change her name to something sexier. She also signed a recording contract for Prince’s company Paisley Park Records, which began her rather short-lived singer career.
Electra began starring in some television shows in 1995, but in 1996 she was featured in a nude pictorial in Playboy magazine, which was the first of several Playboy shoots. Electra was the darling of Playboy readers so much that she appeared in the magazine three more times and graced the cover twice in December, 2000 and April, 2003.
Electra appeared in several films. She appeared in ‘Good Burger’ in 1997, ‘The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human,’ in 1999 and the spoof ‘Scary Movie.’ 2000. She also appeared in ‘Starsky and Hutch,’ 2004 winning an MTV movie award for the best kiss.
In 2005, Electra began the ‘Naked Women’s Wrestling league’ and acted as commissioner for the professional wrestling promotion. She was featured in Taco Bell commercials in 2006 and is currently spokesperson for Ritz Camera Centers appearing in print and television ads with CEO of Ritz Camera Center, David Ritz. Electra’s first rock relationship was with Prince, but the relationship was short-lived. She was previously romantically involved with rap star B-Real of Cypress Hill from 1995 to 1998. She was previously married to basketball star Dennis Rodman from 1998-1999. After the divorce, she had a brief affair with Tommy Lee, Pamela Anderson’s ex husband. From November 2003 until July 17, 2006 she was married to Dave Navarro, former lead guitarist of Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chilly Peppers. The divorce was final in February, 2007.
