Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi Texas, the youngest of four girls. Eva grew up on her parents’ ranch in Corpus Christi.
Eva Longoria attended Texas A&M University in Kingsville where she earned a BS degree in Kinesiology. In 1998, Eva entered a talent contest and won the Miss Corpus Christi USA title. This success led her to Los Angeles where she was signed by a theatrical agent and shortly thereafter starred in the comedic play What the Rabbi Saw. Her breakthrough into television acting came when she was hired by The Young and the Restless to play Isabella Brana Williams. Eva spent two years on the soap-opera and in that time won the ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) Award for Outstanding Acress in a Daytime Drama.
After leaving Y&R, Eva starred in the box office flop Snitch’d (2003), but then went on to host a popular live show- Hot Tamales Live: Spicy, Hot and Hilarious. Desperate Housewives debuted in 2004 as a major prime-time hit, and has launched Eva into major stardom. Eva is also currently working on the film Harsh Times co-starring Christian Bale which will be coming out in 2006.
Eva Longoria married Tyler Christopher, a fellow soap opera star from General Hospital, on January 20, 2002. Unfortunately, the couple divorced in 2004. Eva is rumored to be dating JC Chasez from ‘N Sync. The two met at a local dog show while trying to bid on the same dog.
