Kirsten Dunst
Real Name: Kirsten Caroline Dunst
Date of Birth: 30 April 1982
Place of birth: Point Pleasant, NJ
Profession: Actress
After Dunst’s film debut in Woody Allen’s “New York Stories”, not much else was needed as a catalyst for her family to move out to Los Angeles in order to assist her movie career. Dunst continued to act as a child, and got bit parts in network hits, like “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Sisters”. Two of Dunst’s most memorable film roles came in 1994’s “Little Women” and the very controversial “Interview with the Vampire”, followed by another hit performance in 1995’s “Jumanji”, which had her acting alongside Robin Williams. Dunst went on to have a very successful recurring role on NBC’s “ER”, in quite the dramatic role, while also roping in performances in “Anastasia”, “Wag the Dog”, and the controversial animated feature, “Small Soldiers”. All of these performances cast her in more innocent roles, but the end of the nineties and the beginning of the twentieth century would prove to expose her ability to take on more mature roles, giving her the status of a true leading lady.
Successfully performed roles in “The Virgin Suicides”, “Get Over It”, “Bring It On”, and 2001’s cult hit, “Crazy/Beautiful” only cemented Dunst’s abilities as an actress and really did a lot to show off her charm and ability to fill seats due to ample sex appeal. In 2002, Dunst received her most commercially viable role as Mary Jane Parker, in “Spiderman”, a role which she would revive in 2004’s “Spiderman 2”, and the upcoming “Spiderman 3”. Dunst would also gain much acclaim for her roles in the more artistic films, “Mona Lisa Smile” and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, both of which became instant cult/independent classics. Hudson also fared particularly well in 2004’s “Wimbledon”, and 2005’s “Elizabethtown”, in which she played romantic parts alongside leading actors Paul Bettany and Orlando Bloom, the latter of which she is rumored to have dated. Her most recent role as the French first lady of the bourgeoisie, Marie Antoinette in a 2006 film of the same name has only served to catapult her stardom even more, especially after acting in a film by Sofia Coppola, whose scripts consistently lend themselves to Dunst’s dynamic range of abilities. Dunst will be starring in the final installment of the “Spiderman” series, while also starring in a film about the struggles occurring for aid workers in the present-day Middle East.
