Teri comes from a regular background, daughter of a physicist and a computer programmer. Teri studied math and engineering in Sunnyvale before switching to theatre. She studied acting at the American Conservatory Theatre and was a cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers in 1984. Teri’s first role was the singing and dancing mermaid for The Love Boat in 1985. After that, she was a regular on the series MacGyver. Her film debut was in the Big Picture in 1989, followed by a role as Sylvester Stallone’s kid sister in Tango & Cash.
