So Much Britney Spears, So Little Space

What is the first thing that a celebrity does when they split with their spouse? They sell the house that the couple lived in. That’s just what Britney Spears is doing; she has put her Malibu mansion on the market. The New York Post says that she’s selling the home for $13.5 million.

Federline was unemployed when Spears paid $6.9 million for the eight-bedroom home following their October 2004 wedding. The lavish abode includes an outdoor kitchen, spa, gym, tennis courts, $150,000 nursery and a recording studio.
Meanwhile, Britney Spears‘ first husband states the obvious:
“I don’t hate the guy. ... I think he made an idiot of himself.”
Asked whether he thought Federline married the pop star for her money, Alexander replied, “I don’t know, the only thing he’s done since they’ve been married is spend money.”

As for the potential custody battle over the couple’s two sons, Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James (born Sept. 12), Alexander said, “He won’t get the kids ... he can’t take care of his first two.” (Federline has two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.)

Alexander also reached out to Spears, saying, “Give me a call. I’m a good guy to talk to ... and I’m here for you.”
