Britney Spears Still Under The Watchful Eye Of Her Father

Britney Spears needs her father’s permission to return to her hometown. The troubled singer, who went to Kentwood, Louisiana, recently for her younger sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower, had to ask her dad Jamie if she was allowed to make the trip.

A friend of the star said: “He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it. It’s not that he doesn’t want her there for her little sister. It’s just that he thinks it’s best to keep Britney close to home right now.”

The friend also revealed Britney - who hadn’t visited Kentwood for 16 months before the shower - is planning a second trip after promising Jamie Lynn she would be there for the birth of her baby.

The source added to TV network E!: “At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time.”

“I’m not sure how Casey is going to feel about that. But Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited.”

Britney’s father Jamie is currently co-conservator of her estate, meaning he has control of her business and personal affairs. Jamie Lynn and boyfriend Casey Aldridge are expecting their first baby on June 29.
