Cate Blanchett Welcomes Third Son

Cate Blanchett has given birth to her third child. The “Babel” actress and her playwright husband Andrew Upton welcome son Ignatius Martin Upton in their native Australia Sunday.

Ignatius weighed in at 7.9 lbs. He joins big brothers Dashiell John, born December 3, 2001, and Roman Robert, born April 23, 2004.

The actress and Upton met in 1996 play “The Seagull.” They were married on December 29, 1997.

Blanchett is set to appear on the highly anticipated sequel to the Harrison Ford-starrer “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” on May 22. The movie will first have its screening on May 18 at the Cannes Film Festival.
