Cynthia Nixon First Only Told Kristin Davis About Her Breast Cancer

Cynthia Nixon

Cynthia Nixon has revealed one of the only people she told about her breast cancer was Kristin Davis.

The ‘Sex and the City’ actress wanted to keep her battle against the life-threatening disease secret but confined in her co-star as she was with her when she got the diagnosis.

Cynthia said: “I kept it very quiet. I told Kristin because she happened to be at my house.”

Recalling the incident, Kristin said: “She sits me down in Cynthia fashion and says, ‘I have something to tell you. I have breast cancer.’”

Cynthia says Kristin was in shock when she told her and she had to reassure the brunette beauty everything would be fine. Cynthia told TV show ‘Extra’: “She stood up in her chair. I couldn’t get her down until I told her everything I was doing and assured her everything was going to be OK.”

The mother-of-two - who reprises her role as lawyer Miranda Hobbs in the upcoming ‘Sex and the City: The Movie’ - quietly underwent treatment and she is now celebrating her one-year anniversary of being cancer-free.

Although Cynthia accepted the news she has previously admitted lover Christine Marinoni took it quite badly.

She said: “My girlfriend was the one doing the eating. She was in a panic - and just trying to calm herself down any way she could.”

The 42-year-old actress began dating Christine four years ago after splitting with Danny Mozes, the father of her children.
