Dame Taylor Still Alive And Partying

While she has been written off more times than any other celebrity in the world, Dame Liz Taylor is still very much alive, and still partying at 75 years old. The star of stage and screen recently celebrated her 75th birthday at top Las Vegas Lake Resort, the Ritz-Carlton, with a host of celebrity friends and family.

Dame Taylor has had a really tough time in her later years, with medical and personal issues never far away. She is currently confined to a wheelchair due to back problems, even though she has under gone numerous operations to try and cure the problem.

The 7 times married UK actress was born Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor on 27th February 1932, and has a list of films and TV appearance as long as your arm, including classic such as, Lassie Come Home, National Velvet, Father of the Bride, Quo Vadis, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Between Friends and The Flintstones to name but a few. Her romance with leading man Richard Burton was headline news for many years, until the stormy relationship finally broke up after the second marriage.

Dame Taylor has been a stalwart of every acting awards ceremony in the world, picking up numerous awards from London to LA in a career which spanned some 59 years. While her lifestyle has slowed of late, due to her physical constraints, she has long been involved with a number of major charities around the world with a particular interest in AIDS related campaigns. Ms Taylor is even a supporter of the controversial cult, Kabbalah, which boasts a variety of high profile celebrity supporters.

It is nice to see Dame Taylor enjoying life again, and showing that age is no barrier to fun. She has built up a close circle of friends who have been with her throughout her life, and no doubt the birthday party was enjoyed by all.
