Drew Barrymore, Sweethearts and Valentines

Drew Barrymore fans are wondering just what she’ll be doing on Valentine’s Day.  After a devastating breakup of the four-year relationship she had with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, she’s been single for a while.  According to Drew, she’s enjoying the single life, but we have to wonder for how long.  This past weekend she hosted the Saturday Night Live Show and immediately after the show headed for New York City’s famous Sapa restaurant for the party after the show.  Although she was accompanied by her long-time best friend and co-star from Charlie’s Angels, Cameron Diaz, another new single on the dating scene, Drew also spent a great deal of time with Zach Braff, whose relationship with Mandy Moore ended in June 2006.

The world premiere of Drew’s new movie Music and Lyrics, a romantic comedy and story of a relationship between a musician and a lyricist, will be released nationwide on February 9 and in London on February 14.  When asked by reporters about her plans for Valentine’s Day, Ms Barrymore said she might just go bowling with girlfriends, watch some movies, sip some wine, or visit family.  She looked incredibly charming in a strapless John Galliano gown and her Bridget Jones knickers, as she arrived at the Leicester Square premiere on February 5th.  The exuberant Ms Barrymore danced to the hits of the 80’s at the after the show party at Floridita.  Her costar in the movie Hugh Grant, also at the premiere, told the media that Drew’s upbeat mood did wonders for him, but he wasn’t so sure if his usual downbeat mood did much for her.  As far as Drew is concerned, she felt their opposite personalities played well together.  At the same time, however, if Drew has her way, we will find her playing more mature, dramatic roles in the future.  Although Drew jokingly told the press that she no longer believes in love, being a cynic and having a black heart, we can attribute the remarks to her frequent non-conformist behavior.  Close friends insist that Drew and Zach are not serious in the romance department, however, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and love can be contagious.
