Eva Mendes Goes Nude for Jane
A nude Eva Mendes graces the cover of the August issue of Jane; this will be the magazine’s last issue.
Mendes has no problem with the nude cover because she has a great body. But she doesn’t credit the shape she is in to her diet. Along with the photo shoot she gave Jane an interview, she revealed her diet secret there. “For some reason, tacos from Jack in the Box really do it for me. The tacos and french fries, it’s heavenly. Throw an Oreo shake in there and you’ve got a party.”
She admits that she isn’t perfect, but she doesn’t complain about her imperfections. Mendes says, “Of course there are things anybody wishes they didn’t have or wishes there were more of, but why even bring that up? I think it comes off as being bratty.”
Mendes was born in Miami and raised in L.A. by her Cuban parents. She made her debut to television in a small part on ‘ER’, she spent the next couple of years in Hollywood with little parts on television and in movies. Soon she got her break getting supporting roles in movies like ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ (2003) and ‘Once Upon a Time in Mexico’ (2003). She then went on to lead roles in movies like ‘Hitch’ (2005) opposite Will Smith, and the most recent ‘Ghost Rider’ opposite Nicolas Cage.
Along with acting, Eva is working with Revlon cosmetics as an international spokeswoman. She is a supporter and participant in the Revlon fight against breast cancer.
Eva Mendes has that likeable quality about her, “I recently visited this Korean spa and there were all these beautiful Korean women bathing, being totally comfortable, no matter what type of body they had.
“I thought, ‘This is what it must have been like back in the Roman-bath days.’ And you feel like you’re all in it together, in a weird way.”
What is coming up for Eva Mendes? A thriller. Her costars? Robert Duvall, Mark Wahlberg and Joaquin Phoenix.
