Foxy Brown Charged with Lying to Police

Foxy Brown is in trouble again. Brown is accused of lying to police during a traffic stop. Brown was driving a sport utility vehicle last week when she was stopped for talking on her cell phone and going through a stop sign in Mahwah, N.J.

When the police checked Brown’s SUV she was driving, it showed the registration had been suspended. The 27-year-old rapper gave the police a variation of her real name, which is Inga Marchand. She also gave the wrong date of birth.

Of course the police checked her name she gave, which didn’t show up on any records. The police then asked Brown again for her name and date of birth. Unfortunately for Brown, the Police also found out she was driving under a suspended license. She was then taken to police headquarters where she was issued seven traffic tickets and told to show up in municipal court in Mahwah on September 4.  This newest problem for the troubled rapper came one day after Brown was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a neighbor in Brooklyn, N.Y. She is now charged with the new additional charge of lying to the police in the traffic stop.

Foxy Brown is known for being bad tempered. In February she was convicted of assaulting a manicurist, according to The Smoking Gun Web site and got into disputes with court officers and her book deal with Simon and Schuster was terminated. She is on probation for pleading guilty to an assault in 2004 involving a manicure bill.

Foxy Brown was born September 6, 1979 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and got her name from Pam Grier’s character in the 1974 film of the same name. Her first album Ill Na Na recorded when she was 16 in 1996 sold over a million copies. In 1999 she released Chyna Doll, which featured raps with Jay-Z and DMX was number one on the billboard charts.

Foxy is a mess! We have been discussing her recent legal problems and her newly anounced pregnacy over at Highbrid Nation. What is wrong with her? Does she think being pregnant will keep her out of jail!? and to think, I bought her first album just off the strength of the album cover, lol
