Gisele Bundchen Richest Model

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, from Brazil, tops the list of Forbes.com’s world’s richest models as reported by the Associated Press.

According to Forbes.com, Bundchen’s income in the past year was a total of $33 million which far outdistanced her 2nd nearest competition Kate Moss who’s reportedly earning $9 million.

Recently in May, the Brazilian model said goodbye to Victoria’s Secret and her contract with the famous lingerie brand is set to expire soon as the year ends. However, this doesn’t seem to have affected the supermodel. She says in an interview with Forbes.com that she has, “more contracts than any model on the planet.” Moreover, Forbes publication’s website mentioned that Bundchen has been seen in sophisticated brands such as Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana and Apple.

Giselle sprung out of the fashion world in the year 1999. She is said to have been discovered at a mall at the young age of 14. Aside from gracing ad campaigns including that of Ralph Lauren, Gisele became more famous when she won VH1 Fashion Awards’ “Model of the Year” award.

Third on Forbes.com’s Richest Top Models List is host of Project Runway Heidi Klum with no less than $8 million. Finishing the top 5 list, Klum is followed by Adrian Lima and Alessandra Ambrosia both of which have $6 million earnings.

The other models finishing the Top 12 are: 6 –Carolyn Murphy with $5 million, 7- Natalia Vodianova with $4.5 million, 8- Daria Werbowy and Karolina Kurkova, both with $3.5 million, 9- Gemma Ward with $3 million, 10- Liya Kebede with $2.5 million, 11- Shalom Harlow and Hilary Rhoda – both with $2 million and 12- Jessica Stam and Doutzen Kroes, both with $1.5 million.

Forbes.com tells that in the process of ranking the cat walkers, its editors have taken into account the “relevancy” of the models, which is established by up to date campaigns, opinions of people in fashion industry and gracing the covers of fashion magazines - all of which further puts Gisele Bundchen on top of the world’s richest, and best, models.
