Gwyneth Paltrow Feared Hollywood Had Forgotten Her

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow became desperate to return to acting after she took a break to give birth, claiming that she feared Hollywood had forgotten about her.
The “Iron Man” star took a break from acting while she was pregnant with her two-year-old son Moses, so she could give birth and be a full time mom to the new baby and his big sister, four-year-old Apple.
But Paltrow admitted during the press conference at Cannes for her latest movie “Two Lovers” that she spent the entire time worrying about other starlets taking her place in the Hollywood kingdom. When she was offered the roles in her latest movies “Iron Man” and “Two Lovers,” Paltrow jumped at the opportunity to reclaim her status as one of Tinseltown’s most important leading ladies.
She says, “I really did not know if there would be a place for me. Jodie Foster was right, especially if you are a woman and especially if you are not 25. Hollywood is pretty cut-throat, and everybody has a short memory. There is always someone who is younger or hotter or prettier.”
