Halle Berry Speaks Out About California Fires
Like many of the celebrities that live in wildfire devastated California, Halle Berry is worried. The wildfires in San Diego and Malibu continue to rage for a fifth day, and the homes of not only the rich and famous but other families are at risk for being reduced to cinders. People are being forced to evacuate their homes daily, including celebrities like Lauren Conrad, Kelsey Grammar and Tori Spelling.
Oscar winning star Halle Berry is currently in London so she does not need to worry about an evacuation, although she remains vigil about the wildfires. At the premier of her newest movie, “Things We Lost In The Fire” she tells reporters, “It’s frightening, and I live in Malibu too so I’m worried about my neighbors, my friends that live close to me, my very own property. It’s scary. It’s Mother Nature, and she’s angry.”
In addition to the stresses of her home and property being threatened by the California fires, Halle Berry is currently pregnant with her first child. The actress says that she’s not stressed by the pregnancy, however, stating that she’s “fantastic.” When asked by reporters whether she’s still experiencing morning sickness, she says she’s “over it now” and that she is “all good.”
Could Halle Berry be forced to build a new nursery before her baby arrives next spring? It’s possible – homes in California continue to be ruined by the wildfires. Residents of California are praying that the clouds bring more rain and less winds, as over 600,000 acres of land have been devastated by the flames. Celebrities, including Halle Berry, will have a much easier time rebuilding their homes after the fires die down than other Malibu and San Diego residents. Insurance companies and federal funds will help families who have lost everything, but it still may not be enough. Halle is right to be worried!
