Halle Berry Heading for More Fame
Halle Berry at 40 may well be heading for more fame in her acting career. Things have been going extremely for Ms Berry since winning an Academy Award for best actress in 2002 for Monster’s Ball. Halle returned to her hometown of Valley View, Ohio in March to attend a screening of her latest film Perfect Stranger. Greeted by a crowd of fans, the Mayor of Cleveland, and the media, she expressed her heartfelt thanks for their support, signed autographs, and gave interviews.
After recently earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she attended the premiere of Perfect Stranger at the Ziegfield Theater in New York City on April 10th. Ms Berry appeared in a shimmery black minidress, accompanied by her co-stars Bruce Willis and Giovanni Ribisi, and current boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. Many of Halle’s long-time friends also arrived for the gala event including Tim Robbins, Julia Styles, and Ed Burns. Halle expressed her admiration of Willis, commenting at length on his cool charm, charisma, and lack of pretentiousness. As a journalist in the film, she investigates the murder of her best friend, and in doing so, encounters Willis who plays a not-so-nice guy, a wealthy and dangerous advertising magnate. Although Perfect Stranger will hit the theaters this Friday on April 13th, both stars are putting aside superstition, feeling confident of the film’s success. Twenty years of hard work and dedication to her career have certainly paid off for Halle. At some time, starting a family may also be on Ms Berry’s list of priorities. But for now, it’s all about making films and enjoying the satisfaction of knowing who she is and what she wants in life. Her next role in Nappily Ever After, due to start production sometime this year, has already caused a stir in the media and aroused some controversy. Whether she will appear bald, as she once planned, wear a cap, or just be herself, is still undecided. In any event, we look forward to seeing more fame for Halle Berry.
