Heather Mills Enrages Pageant Show’s Producers With Demands
It wasn’t just the crowd that detested Heather Mills at the Miss USA pageant last weekend, the show’s producers would have wanted to boo the former glamour model as well.
The ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney reportedly refused to sign a contract stating the show could be rebroadcast until it was altered to her own conditions, which had angered the producers.
After being jeered and booed when she was being introduced as judge for the show in Las Vegas, Mills apparently refused to allow the show’s rebroadcasting until she gets paid if they resell the clip.
A source tells the New York Post, “She flat out refused because of one line. They went back and forth rewriting and finally threatened to pull her from it altogether. She still wouldn’t sign it because she wants to get paid if they resell the footage. Her ego is enormous, and it’s getting bigger by the minute.”
The source adds, “She believed that if the show got high rating, it would be because of her. She treated this like she was starring in a big-budget movie.”
It was claimed that Mills even tracked down billionaire Donald Trump, who owns the pageant, while he was dining before the show.
The insider says, “Heather was flirting with him, and she was really working it. She was unprofessional, but he said, ‘Let her [go] on anyway.’”
Mills eventually got her way when they had rewritten the contract to suit her.
The independent contractors who booked her reportedly vowed never to work with her again.
