Heather Mills To Appeal For The Lifting Of Gag Order Against Her

Heather Mills

Heather Mills will return to court to appeal against her gag order. The ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney is planning to ask the London’s High Court to lift the gagging order that prevents her from speaking publicly about the details of their divorce case.

The former glamour model, who had just won approximately $50 million as a divorce settlement from the Beatles legend last week, is “frustrated” when Judge Justice Bennett published his findings on the trial. He had slammed Mills as “unreliable” and a “fantasist.”

Mills then responded to the judge by publicly condemning him. She said that his reports violated her human rights.

Her attorney David Rosen says, “Heather is very frustrated. She feels that it’s very unfair that the judgment should be printed in full when she cannot defend herself. She’s planning to apply to lift the ban. It was damning enough that the judge made his judgment so clear and vividly - no one deserves that. It’s like a prolonged hanging for her.”

The hearings were covered by a confidentiality agreement that neither party, beyond what the judge chose to disclose, is allowed to elaborate on what was said in the case.
