Jennifer Garner, at home with Ben and baby…
Jennifer Garner talks about her new role as Mom to baby Violet and her home life with husband Ben Affleck in this month’s “People” magazine. Violet’s first year has been a wonderful one for Jennifer, as she and Daddy have discovered just what it’s like when baby makes three. She is devoted to raising Violet, taking time to play and enjoy each new and exciting discovery they make. She tells us that watching Ben with their baby is something she’ll never tire of. Indeed, it is a beautiful bonding between the three of them as they share the everyday events of home and family. Now that she has a child of her own, she remembers the things she did as a child, refusing to eat certain foods her mother spent so much time preparing, and saying “No, no, and no” as all small children will do.
Jennifer admits to having some difficulty in dealing with the extra weight she gained while pregnant with Violet. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do, to put aside all the good stuff like bagels and muffins, especially while staying at home. But, Jennifer was determined to lose those excess pounds, substituting salads for unwanted calories and spending time exercising on the treadmill. Fans of Jennifer had hoped to watch her presentation at the Golden Globes on Monday, January 15th, but due to time constraints, it could not be included. However, Mrs. Affleck plays the part of Gray Wheeler in Catch and Release, a romantic comedy and drama, scheduled to open on January 26th. In the film, her fiancé dies suddenly, leaving secrets behind, but she finds fun and unexpected romance within a small group of friends. We will see her again in April 2007 in a completely different role, starring in The Kingdom, a story of the FBI and fighting terrorism in Saudi Arabia. Although Jennifer stays busy with her acting career, she knows her most rewarding role is just being Mom.
