Eva Longoria and Beau Parker Tour Castles in France
Eva Longoria will soon be Mrs. Tony Parker, and from what we hear they are having a lot of fun before the main event. After the big bash at Saint Tropez this past weekend, attended by close friends and family members, they returned to Tony’s hometown of Paris, France. While more friends and family continued to arrive this week, Tony had a July 4th surprise planned for Eva.
Leaving their suite at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome hotel, with Longoria still unaware of just where they were going, they arrived at the Paris Heliport. A short flight took them 250 miles away from the city and the wedding preparations to Mont Saint-Michel, perhaps one of the most romantic places in the world. This secluded 6th century citadel is situated on a sheltered bay, with spectacular views and the magic of medieval ambiance. It was classified as a UNESCO site in 1979 and happens to be the 3rd most visited attraction in France.
Longoria and Parker were just in time for dinner Tuesday evening at the historic 1879 La Mere Poularde restaurant. No reservations were needed, and the entire staff welcomed the happy couple. After sharing an omelet, La Mere’s specialty, and an entrée of salt-fed lamb, a regional dish of Normandy, they spent the night at the hotel and returned to Paris on the 4th. Here, they joined a group of family and friends for a visit and lunch at the Disneyland Paris theme park. Eva and Tony were photographed in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, both appearing very much in love.
The much talked about wedding celebration will take place this Saturday at yet another castle, the Chateau de Vaux le Vicomte, less than two hours drive from Paris. This splendid 17th century chateau was once a small castle, but is now a large estate with lovely gardens and lighted fountains.
The reception promises to be a lavish event, with an estimated 200 guests including Parker’s San Antonio Spurs team mates, members of Eva Longoria’s Desperate Housewives cast, more family, friends, and celebrities. We wish Eva Longoria and Tony Parker bon voyage in the journey ahead as Mr. and Mrs. Tony Parker.
