PETA Ask The Public To Send Olsen Twins Clippings Of Hair

Olsen Twins

PETA have asked the public to send Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen hair clippings.

The animal rights group wants activists to chop off their locks and send them to the famous twins for their 22nd birthday this Friday, in a bid to convince them to stop wearing fur.

PETA wrote on their website: “The Trollsen Twins are almost 22 - old enough to know better than to wear the skins of animals, right? Apparently not. The twins are still sporting as much fur as ever. Since they seem to be in such dire need of extra hair on their bodies, let’s give them some of ours - and send a strong message while we’re at it.”

“Save that hair in a bag and mail it to the twins with a note that says, ‘Please, use my hair instead of the animals. Happy Birthday.’”

Dan Shannon, the assistant director of youth campaigns for PETA, added: “Mary-Kate and Ashley are old enough now to know that fur doesn’t grow on trees. We hope that on their birthday, they will take a moment to think about the many animals who won’t live to see another birthday thanks to the twins’ abominable taste in clothes.”

This is not the first time PETA have criticized the former ‘Full House’ actresses for wearing fur. Last year, they launched a campaign against the beauties, nicknaming them the ‘Trollsen Twins, Hairy-Kate and Trashley’ and released posters bearing the slogan “Fur Is Worn By Beautiful Animals and Ugly People.”
