Teri Hatcher, from Wisteria Lane to Sundance
Teri Hatcher, who plays Susan Mayer, a single Mom, in the long-running TV series Desperate Housewives, has a new role and a new boyfriend. Stephen Kay, actor now director, was her date to the Golden Globes this month, and Teri proclaims to be very much in love with her fabulous new guy. It seems that two of the TV housewives have something in common, since Kay dated Eva Longoria at one time, long before Tony Parker. Teri and Stephen were seen holding hands and keeping each other warm this past weekend in Park City, Utah at the annual Sundance Film Festival. They were there to attend the premiere of her new movie, do some shopping, and enjoy each other.
Teri is starring in Resurrecting the Champ, a movie about boxing and journalism. She plays the part of an aggressive TV executive who follows a sports writer, Josh Harnett, in his search for a story, a search that leads to a homeless man and a former boxing champ.
Marriage, as yet, has not been planned, but anything is possible. After all, it’s been a while since Teri’s divorce from Jon Tenney, the father of her nine-year-old daughter Emerson. Up to now, she has not been seen in filmdom, spending at least ten months of the year on the TV series and taking care of her first priority, her daughter Emerson. The two of them managed to be together on a 21-day trip to Africa and again on a boat trip, where they shared an exciting experience with scientists as Teri narrated a documentary on the migration of humpback whales from Alaska to Maui. Teri has no plans on leaving Desperate Housewives any time soon. As she points out, it pays the bills and allows her the time she needs to be with her daughter. Her book “Burnt Toast” has done amazingly well, and with a new man and a new movie, Teri’s future looks bright indeed. She may be on her way to being much more than the single Mom on Wisteria Lane
