Vanessa Hudgens Nude Photo Circulates Internet

Disney’s High School Musical star, Vanessa Hudgens, has been caught with her pants down – literally.  While the publicity of this event may be unwanted, it certainly has put the up and coming pop star and actress right in the limelight.  Vanessa joins the likes of Britney Spears who flashed her undercarriage while getting out of her vehicle, Tara Reid who gave the nip slip at an awards show and socialite Paris Hilton who’s private sex tape made public rounds.  Fortunately, the naked pictures were legal as Hudgens turned eighteen on the 14th of December last year. 

Vanessa’s friends, family and fans were nothing less than shocked and surprised when the photos were leaked.  Were the nude photographs a publicity stunt?  It’s doubtful – Vanessa’s publicist says the photo “was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public.” When Vanessa Hudgens learned that the photo had been put up on several websites across the internet, she quickly issued a statement of apology.  She says, “I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me. I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends.” Vanessa has starred in other films such as Thirteen and Thunderbirds.

Although there have been other stars and celebrities to show the public what’s beneath their undergarments, Hudgens herself serves as a role model to a much younger generation through her continued work with Disney.  No word from Disney representatives regarding the photo leak and whether or not they will slate her to continue the High School Musical series.  Will the nude photo help or harm Hudgens’ career?  At this point, only time will tell.  Vanessa is, however, handling the situation with integrity and dignity.
