Alicia Silverstone Cancels Guest Appearance Because Of Britney Spears

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Alicia Silverstone fears being overshadowed by Britney Spears. The “Clueless” star has opted out of guest starring in “How I Met Your Mother” because the pop singer is also starring in the same episode, it has been claimed.

Silverstone was supposed to play a hot doctor that lead star Ted, played by Josh Radnor, has a serious crush on. But apparently, the 31-year-old actress bailed out after learning the doctor’s receptionist will be played by Spears, which might possibly overshadow her.

Alicia Silverstone Bares All for PETA

Alicia Silverstone shot a commercial for the animal rights group PETA in Houston, Texas on vegetarianism, which was to appear September 19 in the Houston area. The ad is to promote good eating habits in Houston, which was deemed the sixth fattest city in the nation by Men’s Fitness magazine earlier this year.

Silverstone is seen emerging from a pool with her arms covering her naked body as she steps out. She said she was not always a vegetarian, but she has always loved animals.

Alicia Silverstone is returning to her roots. No, she isn’t changing hair color again, but instead she is going back to where she first launched her professional acting career – television.

Silverstone will return to television this year in the new NBC primetime television show, “The Singles Table”, which begins at a friend’s wedding where five strangers are brought together at, you guessed it, a table for singles only.
