MTV’s “Rock The Cradle” had one surprise appearance at the show’s finale Thursday. Controversial Britney Spears showed up in the audience while the winner was being crowned.

Spears showed up at the final episode of the contest but not to perform. She stayed in the audience and probably cheered on the three finalists: Jess Blaze Snider (Dee Snider’s son), Chloe Lattanzi (Olivia Newton-John’s daughter), and Crosby Loggins (Kenny Loggin’s son).

The troubled singer - who was recently given back some of her visitation rights to her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline - viewed the five-bedroom, six-bathroom property yesterday afternoon.

Britney Spears can now spend more time with her children. Britney and her ex-husband Kevin Federline were in court yesterday for the latest hearing in their ongoing custody battle.

Although it was not made clear how Britney’s visitation rights have increased, Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan said it was an “expansion of time”, and went on to praise the troubled singer’s progress.

He said: “It is a cautious step, but a step forward nonetheless.”

Other than the sheriff’s deputies posted at the gate and the paparazzi circling in helicopters above, it was your typical baby shower Saturday for soon-to-be-mom Jamie Lynn Spears. Big sister Britney Spears, and about 30 other ladies, attended the shower.

The baby shower was an intimate, all-ladies affair on Saturday at the family’s Serenity mansion for 17-year-old Jamie Lynn. The baby shower was catered, and in addition to big sis Britney also included was Jamie Lynn’s mom , Lynne Spears, and her fiancé Casey Aldridge’s mom.

Britney Spears Needs To Pay $23K For Company’s Back Taxes

Just a week after being ordered to pay her legal representatives $400,000, Britney Spears needs to shell out thousands more to pay taxes. The pop star’s company owes more than $23,000 in back taxes.

E! news reports that a document shows that one of the 26-year-old “Toxic” singer’s brand-name companies owes $23,589.17 in California state taxes on their 2004 earnings.

Franchise Tax Board of the State of California says that “further interest and fees will accrue” if the sum is still not paid.
