Jennifer Aniston
Real Name: Jennifer Joanna Aniston
Date of Birth: 11 February 1969
Place of birth: Sherman Oaks, CA
Profession: Actress
Jennifer’s passion for acting is said to be derived from her father, John’s, acting career, which was built around his longtime role on the soap opera, “Days of Our Lives”. Jennifer’s first acting experiences came at Rudolph Steiner’s acting school, which was a drama club that seemed to enhance Jennifer’s passion for the occupation. Aniston then went on to perform in high school productions, and went on to appear in relatively modest Off-Broadway productions before gaining access to more notable television roles. Aniston appeared in bit and recurring roles on many television shows, but they only seemed to hurt her career, as they were all short-lived series. In 1994, Aniston decided to audition for the role of Rachel, for “Friends”, only after turning down a requested audition for the part of Monica. Friends became one of the most successful television series ever, ending in 2004, and catapulted all of the stars, including Aniston, into instant fame and financial success.
Jennifer’s career has seen modest movie success in the mainstream circuit, while she has garnered quite a bit of acclaim for more independent roles in films like “The Good Girl” and “Office Space”. She did achieve a good bit of success for her role in “The Breakup”, which saw her costarring with Vince Vaughn in a situation almost like his own relationship with her. Jennifer is currently working on many films and productions of her own, while also trying to keep her distance from the paparazzi, who have consistently been on Aniston’s case since her relationships and breakups with Brad Pitt, and costar, Vince Vaughn.
Interesting Facts
Aniston is quite the advocate of actors’ privacy rights and has been known to sue if the paparazzi and other impostors do not stay away from her, and/or the people close to her. She has been a paparazzi favorite in the category of nude photos, and Aniston sued a specific photographer for taking topless photos of her while sunbathing behind a fence on her own property.
While most entertainment people tend to take their marital obligations semi-seriously, Aniston was deeply hurt by the failure of her marriage to Brad Pitt. Jennifer believed in the sanctity of marriage, and was very sad over the fact that Brad had left her for Angelina Jolie. Her status as a tragic relationship figure only cemented her status as an American sweetheart, a role, which she has performed well.
Aniston has also been at the forefront of many fashion trends, especially over her run on “Friends”. Many people liked to dress like her and envied her lean figure, but her most desired attribute was her hair. Many women asked for the “Rachel” hairstyle around the year 1997, when “Friends” was at its commercial peak. The hair was a bouncy, yet layered style, which had been done before, but never reached the level of fame before Aniston donned it in the mid-nineties.
