Actress Rachel McAdams was born on October 7, 1967 in Ontario, Canada to Lance and Sandra McAdams. McAdams has two younger siblings, her brother Daniel and sister Kayleen. The actress graduated from York University in Toronto with Honors and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in theatre.
McAdams appeared alongside Rob Schneider in The Hot Chick, but her big break came playing Regina George in 2004’s Mean Girls. After Mean Girls, McAdams starred in an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks’ novel “The Notebook” with Ryan Gosling. The co-stars began dating while filming the movie, but they ended their relationship in 2007.
In 2005, McAdams starred in Wedding Crashers, playing opposite Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. Her next two roles were the suspense thriller “Red Eye” and the comedy “The Family Stone.” McAdams decided to take the year off in 2006 to spend more time with friends and family. McAdams won many awards for her film roles including three MTV Movie Awards, and a nomination for the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award.
McAdams was named number fourteen on Maxim Magazine’s Hot 100 list in 2005 and rated number 17 on the magazines list in 2006.
